THE HISTORY OF LIBEREC.....
THE HISTORY OF LIBEREC.....
(now it can be told!)
The mysterious, beautiful and ancient city of Liberec, the third largest city in Czech Republic, is an intriguing blend of old and new. The first written history of Liberec appeared in documents dating back to 1348. During World War II, the Nazis used Liberec as their base of operations. Today, visitors can see a dizzying array of spectacular 19th century architecture, including the Town Hall and the Opera House. Picturesque Romantic style neighborhoods nestle above the hills, laid out in a style typical of central European spas.
The most striking modern structure in Liberec is the Jestid Tower, built in 1968, which is used as a television transmitter. This amazing tower has a "space age" appearance and can be seen for miles around. Yes, this is what the tourists see on their guided visits.............
But what if? ........... WHAT... IF? ....... there are secrets in old Liberec that even the locals know nothing about? It would certainly frighten them to know that beneath the ancient city streets there exists an underground network of hidden, dark, dank catacombs. Legend has it that the catacombs of Liberec are actually part of the ancient catacombs of Rome, connected by a vast array of tunnels stretching for thousands of miles! Within these murky depths live the Gargirls, a race of erotic, deadly, yet mischievous creatures whose only goal is to use their deceptively innocent, yet lethal tricks, to entrap and devour their next meal. Could these be the gruesome remains of their unwary victims found at a newly discovered under ground passageway? You be the judge...
As the girls would say... "Velcom tu Liberec unt Samral... a place uv meestery, eentrigue, heedden dangers unt deelights..........Vee are vaiting unt vee are hungry............FUR YU!"
